Riverdale believes in providing students with an excellent education within the classroom as well as beyond the classroom. At Riverdale, students have many opportunities to develop leadership skills and be involved within the community through school clubs and organizations. These clubs and organizations are lead by faculty members and the students who are involved.

Some of these extra-curricular activities are as follows:

Bible Club

Students in all grade levels can participate in this club which meets after school.

Chess Club

Chess at Riverdale is a voluntary after school activity for students in K-8. It is taught by a local Chess Master, Josh Zeitlan.  The students learn so much and many qualify for tournaments in the area.  We are excited to offer this activity!

Student Council

The largest of Riverdale's middle school groups, Student Council sponsors the formal Winter Dance and performs community service both in and out of school. Functioning as a liaison between Riverdale's administration and its student population, it offers a forum to discuss future school projects and current concerns. Members must maintain strong grades, exemplary conduct, and a commitment to community service.

SWAT Team (Students Workers Advancing Technology)

The SWAT team is open to 5-8th graders interested in trouble shooting technology issues around campus. The SWAT team meets most Mondays from 3:00-4:15

WRMS

Riverdale’s radio station reports school events on a daily basis with student deejays reporting the information.

Yearbook

The Raider Annual is assembled throughout the year by faculty advisors and a student staff.  7th and 8th grade students are selected based on their interest, abilities and dependability. The faculty advisor arranges schedules and selection of students. Duties and activities include making sales posters, announcements, checking proofs, taking pictures and distributing annuals.  Meetings are called as needed
